Hi Chris (and everyone), The problem went away after I installed the ubuntu restricted extras by doing: sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras
Although I still have that "large font" problem with j forms/dialog boxes but it's cool. Although there are some limitations to the new ubuntu interface (drag and drop is severely limited), it is the most usable/user friendly so far of all the linux gui/interface I've used. Thanks. r/Alex -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Chris Burke Sent: Thursday, April 30, 2009 4:51 AM To: General forum Subject: Re: [Jgeneral] Blank Screen J on Acer Aspire One with Ubuntu Remix 9.02 See this thread on disabling maximus: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg02107.html Chris Burke wrote: > We should find out if this is the remix stuff, or another problem.
