I am running J on a mac and had no issues in getting it installed. Download the correct file (for mac book pro it is j602a_mac_intel.dmg) from here: http://www.jsoftware.com/stable.htm
Then, as it says on that page: "Download to Desktop and double-click to mount. Drag j602 to Home for a standard install or to Applications for a multi-user install. Run J with the red J icon in the j602 folder." It is incredibly easy. Good luck. 2009/8/24 DIETER ENSSLEN <[email protected]>: > thanks! > > same situation in pocket pc as on MacBook Pro. > > all I am looking for is that blue "J" I have on my notebook pc, like on all > regular Apps on computers, I want to just click on it and I am away into it. > > But both on the MacBook Pro and the pocket pc's and smartphone I have lots of > references to "J" all over the place, the MacBook Pro I finally got going > today by finding something called J.jar and clicking on it. > > On my small devices I usually find my way through: > > settings, memory, running programs, J, and activate it. > > Aside from that, I keep being amazed by the power and speed of J and I > appreciate all the different platforms I can use it on. > > thanks > > long term project i guess, by X mas i should have it. > > It has been suggested that i delete and start over, I have no confidence I > won't end up in the same little "mess"after all the erasing and starting over > again. > > then again, maybe I dshould just leave well enough alone and go with the flow. > > thanks > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
