Re some earlier questions.

On Mac, a most gracefull installation is drag-and-drop, where the user is
in control and has to simply place the application folder "icon" to any
convenient
location, typically /Applications folder.

Instead of looking for apps in folders or cluttering the dock, starting from
Tiger,
it is the easiest to launch apps using Spotlight. Simply type
      Cmd+Space j602
and select the app start icon from the Spotlight menu.
After a couple of times it will place it on top, and simple Return will do. So
...
      Cmd+Space j602 Return
      Cmd+Space term Return (Terminal)
      Cmd+Space saf Return (Safari)
etc.

Dock icons are good for droplet mode, where the app argument is "passed" by
dropping an item from Finder. But Finder's toolbar can also accept icons,
being extensible as the Dock.

AppleScript or Automator actions from Script menu in Menu bar can also pick
up selected items from Finder.

A decent smartphone such as iPhone or iPod touch does play YouTube.

cd is to 'change directory' (not change disk) and is the same in DOS.

Try not to drop J application icons on the desktop (gets too
cluttered), better to try to use the dock and keep the desktop as free
as possible. Just drag an icon on there and the dock will 'squeeze
apart' to make room.

The video Ric directed you to (from Brian Schott) does a nice job of
showing you the install beneath what I described in words in my
previous post. They should make sense.

Best of luck (for the ironman and J !!!).../Rob

Dear Rob

the red J sits like a usual App on the desk top, in the middle of
the whole display. Yes, I have lots of Apps sitting there happily
and working nicely. True, none as intriguing as J.

oh cd change disk, that recalls ancient memories. I have an old
Atari 16 bit that still does that.

thanks

post Ironman I will look at this, maybe sooner.

thanks
