I recently bought this 64-bit machine to replace my dead 32-bit machine: http://www.woot.com/Blog/ViewEntry.aspx?Id=9502
it was reasonably priced (~$400) and is a quad-cord, 2.33GHz, 8GB RAM machine. It has some overheating issues (hence the refurb) but that can be addressed with a little tweaking (bios config & an extra fan). One of the first things I did was to install 64bit J, which I'd never played with before. I typed +/i.1e8 and had an answer back in less than a breath. I am impressed. -Dan PS: +/i.1e9 hung J though. One cannot ask too much. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
