I'll leave you to Google for yourself on this one and any remaining topics.  
I've heard or seen in editorials all of these sentiments echoed for a long 
time now, and I don't keep a running tab.  

One example of the bring home the troops subject is:  
http://www.independent.org/tii/news/020611Moore.html.  The emphasis here is 
not "stick it to the Germans" as reported in Zoki's article, but to remove 
American troops from harm's way in this age of terrorism.
