As far as the "epicenter" of the outage is concerned - the jury is still
out and, with all the political implications involved, we may never
know. However, the report issued by NERC yesterday indicated that the
sequence of events started shortly after 2pm on the Chamberlain-Harding
365kv line in the Cleveland area and rippled from their, first causing
local line sags and reverses, then taking out regions. The power grid in
Canada was not affected until 3:11pm. Read the concise report here:
