Yes, but there were about 500 ahead of him until Daddy bought him in. What embarrasses me is that I thought we should have been in Vietnam. A little bit of age does wonders for a person's perspective. I even voted for R. Reagan for Governor the first time out. It wasn't until he dismantled the California school system that I began to change from a Goldwater Republican to a somewhat more liberal individual. In the 50's and early 60's California was in the top 5 or so states in education. What embarrasses me more is that I voted for Prop. 13. The 13 should have given me a clue. What Ronnie couldn't do, Prop. 13 finished. I've got about 20 years of experience on you. I remember "good Republicans" wanted Taft instead of Eisenhower. I, as my folks, were of that persuasion. I was too young to vote then. You can see I've come a long way. End of RANT!
