I have been to the Gili Islands, which however is on the other side of Bali, next to the island Lombok; http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=-8.360805,116.064205&spn=0.08305,0.151749&t=h&z=13 http://wikitravel.org/en/Gili_Islands Another little known place is Bawean, a.k.a. Boyan, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bawean http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=-5.665185,112.653809&spn=1.336492,2.427979&t=h&z=9 If you want to connect a bit to being something sweet, there are plenty of fruits; Longan, Rambutan, Mangosteen, Lychee or just Mudah (fruit IIRC). A smelly well-known fruit (but still sweet) is Durian. A fairly unique island animal is the "Kancil", which is the local name for "Mouse Deer" (but need to warn that a car model carries the name).
