OverHive seems to be quite popular, too, so here's my opinion about that: It sounds good, it's easy to remember and it scores well on the Google-meter. But it doesn't make any sense. What is an OverHive? Some UberHive or SuperHive? That only works when applying a germanism. The Hive beyond HiveMind (after the latter has been closed down at Apache)? No, doesn't work neither. Now, whether a name should have some meaning or not, is a philosophical question. IMHO, that's just a nice-to-have, in the end, Wintermute also only has a meaning if you know the book. But if I have the choice between a name with and a name without meaning, I'll choose the one that has some relation to what the software does. Gaderian has a nice sound to it, it's not too hard to remember (but admittedly harder than OverHive), Google-meter looks good. And you can take it as some abstract name, but, if you dig a bit further, you'll find that it actually has a meaning which is related to what the software does. Take that as a +1 for Gaderian. :) Cheers, Raffi -- The difference between theory and practice is that in theory, there is no difference, but in practice, there is. her...@raffael.ch · Jabber: her...@raffael.ch PGP Key 0x5FFDB5DB5D1FF5F4 · http://keyserver.pgp.com _______________________________________________ general mailing list general@lists.ops4j.org http://lists.ops4j.org/mailman/listinfo/general
