Simon Kaegi commented on PAXWEB-137:
------------------------------------

The bundle org.eclipse.equinox.http.servlet is not framework specific so can be
used with Felix, Knopflerfish, Prosyst ,etc. in addition to Equinox. I'm
completely open to adding filter or listener support if someone can provide
patches (especially if we can do this in someway that will eventually work it's
way into the HttpService spec). Just wanted to offer to see if we can avoid the
work of re-creating something that's already there.

> Equivalent of org.eclipse.equinox.http.servlet.HttpServiceServlet to allow
> pax-web to be integrated into a servlet container

> I am looking for an equivalent of
> org.eclipse.equinox.http.servlet.HttpServiceServlet to allow pax-web to be
> integrated into a servlet container.
> I appreciate that this is contrary to pax web osgi-ify but at the moment our
> users are uncomfortable moving away from their app servers to a true
> server-side osgi solution therefore the best we can do is to leverage an
> approach like equinox's servletbridge approach.
> But as you will be very well aware equinox doesnt provide filters or
> listeners etc. So I'd like to use pax-web (subject to legal agreement) but I
> dont see an immediately obvuos way to bridge the servlet container (webapp in
> the app server) to your WebContainer;
> i.e. is there an org.eclipse.equinox.http.servlet.HttpServiceServlet?
> Many thanks
> _Paul
