Pete Carapetyan commented on PAXEXAM-33:
----------------------------------------
Thanks for your reply Toni - in order of your questions
0 - re javaLobby stuff. I don't even post my blogs on javaLobby/dzone - at
least I never have yet. Someone else always does it and I rarely even find out
about it until much later. Neil had the same problem with his comments on one
blog so I posted a comment myself and it posted fine so I couldn't find
anything to fix. It might have something to do with whether one has a login?
And one of my blogs that got posted there was a shamefully poorly written blog,
so that doesn't help.
1 - I may be using 1.2 and just looking at the 0.6 docs, not sure.
2 - SpringDM and blueprints are eclipse Gemini now, and both the same codebase.
But there is no basic change from it's previous as best as I can tell. And
apparently it is only interesting to me, not even the springsource guys seem to
be much interested in it. Myself I think it's the holy grail, in either
blueprints or the spring format. Either one is pretty sweet, semantically, at
least to me.
3 - I would love to help out if you would let me. My questions might get pretty
dumb, it is amazing to me how much obvious stuff takes me a while to understand.
Where should I post my questions when I have them? Here? Elsewhere?

> First class support for Spring DM / Blueprint Service
> -----------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: PAXEXAM-33

> Project: Pax Exam
> Issue Type: New Feature
> Reporter: Alin Dreghiciu

>
> Pax Exam should provide first calls support for Spring DM users.
> Not sure what we miss right now but I propose that we test some of the tests
> from spring dm integration tests and convert them to use Pax Exam in order to
> dicsover what we need more. Almost sure that we will need support for:
> * specify Spring DM configuration xmls
> * get ahold of ApplicationContext ?
> Because OSGi Blueprint Service will be an unbranded+standartized spring DM we
> will support ths.
