Pete Carapetyan commented on PAXEXAM-33:
----------------------------------------
Got as far as attempting to repeat the spring osgi examples at
http://www.ops4j.org/projects/pax/construct/examples/spring-osgi.html
just to get a place to start.
Failed in maven 3, so ran in maven 2 and got further but blew up on
-> Preparing framework [Equinox 3.6.0]
-> Downloading bundles...
-> Equinox 3.6.0 : connecting...
___
/ /
/ / Oops, there has been a problem!
/ /
/__/ URL [mvn:org.eclipse.osgi/org.eclipse.osgi/3.6.0.v20100517] could no
t be resolved.
___
/__/ Use --log=debug to see details.
This may be more trouble for you guys to support than it is worth. I don't know
enough about the pax internals to help much in fixing or debugging.
> First class support for Spring DM / Blueprint Service
> -----------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: PAXEXAM-33
> URL: http://issues.ops4j.org/browse/PAXEXAM-33
> Project: Pax Exam
> Issue Type: New Feature
> Reporter: Alin Dreghiciu
> Assignee: Toni Menzel
>
> Pax Exam should provide first calls support for Spring DM users.
> Not sure what we miss right now but I propose that we test some of the tests
> from spring dm integration tests and convert them to use Pax Exam in order to
> dicsover what we need more. Almost sure that we will need support for:
> * specify Spring DM configuration xmls
> * get ahold of ApplicationContext ?
> Because OSGi Blueprint Service will be an unbranded+standartized spring DM we
> will support ths.
