Current Mer may be based on MeeGo, but Mer was originally developed as a replacement for Maemo. Mer releases go as far back as January 2009 (if not even farther). While it lacked polish, it ran just fine on my Nokia N810. Now I'm going to reminisce about the good old days of Maemo. sigh.
