The lb.ks you used may be for lunchbox, and I don't think you can run the image
from emulator.
A lunchbox device can be used to run the image here.

Thanks
Gui

Hi Goeffroy,
I am now able to create the image with the command you mentioned. It is very
helpful. Thanks.

What extension I should give to the image in order to run the image from
emulator?

While I executed the command it could create the image but with few messages.
For eg

I believe the issue is that the repos you're building from are older than when
this new mechanism was introduced in mic and they do not provide the
'mic-bootstrap-x86-arm' package. Could you try using the '--runtime=native'
option with mic. I am running mic 0.14 on Ubunut 12.10 and your ks file works
for me if I use this option:
sudo mic create loop lb.ks --pack-to=kernel.img.tar.gz -runtime=native
