Title: Samsung Enterprise Portal mySingle

Ah,  my bad. Actually, the files are there in data.img (i.e., /opt/etc/smack). I have to check it more why it does not work.

Title : Re: [Tizen General] Tizen : Simplified MAC Kernel fails

Thanks Auke,

I am still confused, is Tizen using SMACK in current version (2.0). I have downloaded reference device build image (RD-210-tizen-2.0_20130218.10.tar.gz) and platform.img (rootfs) does not contain those files.

How should I understand  it? Why smack rule files are not included in RD images?

Hello,

I am porting Tizen to new board and having few issues. I am using platform, data, ums images from this link : http://download.tizen.org/releases/latest/2.0/images/RD-210/RD-210-tizen-2.0_20130218.10.tar.gz

(1) S01smack_start  :

(Starting Simplified MAC Kernel(SMACK) ... failed.

(2) S02smack_rules start :

apply_rules : No such file or directory.

Consequently, tizen is not starting up correctly. I have checked the Kernel configuration, and smackfs is mounted on /smack, but /smack/load is empty. Would you please guide what might be my issue?

/smack/load (better: /smack/load2) is empty by default, and rules are supposed to be read from /etc/smack/accesses.d/ into that file. If that functions properly, you will see that /smack/load2 contains access rules. It seems that the access rules files are missing in /etc/smack/accesses.d/.

for more information about SMACK, see: https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/security/Smack.txt

Auke
