I was having trouble running install.pl until I realized that my 
directory (as unpacked) was named mnogosearch-3.1.19 and not  
mnoGoSearch-3.1.19 as the documentation suggests.  (Note case 
difference.)  I renamed the directory and installation proceeded 
smoothly.

Thought y'all might wanna know.
