I'm using the Pro Trial version for Windows on the above platform and when I
press the green 'play' button in the indexer configuration tool I get the
following message:
A Remote activation was necessary but the server name provided was invalid
I've searched for this message in the net and it appears to be something to
do with OLE / OLEDB but I couldn't find any suggested resolution.
Has anyone else come across this or does anyone have any ideas as to how I
should go about resolving the problem?
I have also installed VC6Redistsetup.exe which includes up to date version
of things like MFC42.dll and ATL.dll and I have installed IE5.5 on the
system and the latest MDAC update from Microsoft but all to no avail.
