Hey people,

I just found mnogosearch less than one week ago, and it will be the search
engine for our intranet site (Altavista sucks: it's written in (slow)
Java, and costs way too much).

I was playing around with cache mode in 3.1.19 and found a note somewhere
saying that it was rewritten in the 3.1.20 branch. Right now I have 3.1.19
installed and running, but I want to keep up with the 3.1.20 branch and
the CVS version.

Eventually I'd like to migrate the whole site to 3.1.20 without reindexing
everything. Re-indexing is slow (okay, so it's only 1 1/2 hours for 6K
docs :) and I'd rather not wait for all that time.

Some quick questions:

What are the reasons for dropping cross word support in cache mode? Is it
 an implementation issue?
Why is pthread support listed as linux-pthread? Solaris has pthread
support as well (I'll let you know if it works in a bit :).
What's up with the two CVS branches? There's development on both of them,
but mnogosearch32 is more recent, so I grabbed that one.
There was some messages on the list/webboard about cachemode not spitting
out results properly. Was this resolved?

I also have a few patches for the CVS version. It's mostly compilation
problems I ran into with the CVS version (this is on Solaris 7 Sparc SMP).
Should I post to the list?

Thanks for all your help,

- Danish
