We discuss management matters on the public mailing lists because we are maintaining a transparent organization because it aligns with our values and organizational mission. If the messages bother you then don't read them, discussions such as changing the office hours time are on the public list to maintain transparency but we don't assume every subscriber is going to care about them, it's just is a matter of policy that these things be addressed publicly.
The reason that you don't hear my kind of input very often is because managers are in the position to sack those who don't emit sweet words of love, and I cite the many companies that have been driven into the ground by upper management that don't know better.
There is no point in attempting to castigate me as though you're my manager and I work for you, because the fact of the situation is that I don't and you are not in that artificial position of authority. I've been on this list for about two years out of interest in what you're doing, but that's as far as it goes.
I wish your project the best, but you can take that attitude and stuff it where the sun doesn't shine. This is not how you do transparent organisations, and you too have the option of not reading messages that you don't like.
I suggest you look up the definition of a Type 2 manager. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Open Source Applications Foundation "General" mailing list http://lists.osafoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/general
