Hi Reid,

I may be repeating myself, but wanted to make sure we're all clear about Chandler's 0.7 release and its significance...

Users will be downloading non-alpha releases, whose quality should be that of an old-school beta when we hit 0.9

We're shooting for the app to be solid by 0.7, not 0.9. March. Early next year. 0.7alpha4, then 0.7alpha5, maybe an 0.7alpha6 and then then we're at 0.7. This will include publicity if we meet our goal.

It won't have all of the features we want, so in that sense it won't be an old-school beta. (We'll iterate on features before 1.0). The quality level for 0.7 needs to be high, though. The app needs to be fast enough, reliable enough, etc. that we can ask people outside of OSAF to use it. By 0.7!

Cheers,
Katie
