Hello folks,
I have just joined this list in the hope of getting some information
that will help me to integrate timeline with the Chisimba framework to
provide a timeline interface to some of the tools, as well as to enable
timelines to be used in e-learning.
This application is GPL licensed, so we would use timeline as a library
in it.
However, I keep encountering an error:
Exception: Object cannot be created in this context. code: "9" nsresult:
"0X80530009" (NS_ERROR_DOM_NOT_SUPPORTED_ERR) location:
("http://simile.mit.edu/timeline/api/timeline-api.js line:134")
I see that it happens with document.writing the script tag on load for
Firefox? I notice a previous email explaining the problem, at
http://simile.mit.edu/mail/ReadMsg?listName=General&msgId=9649
but nothing that provides a solution.
If I cut and paste the HTML from the PHP generated page, and open it
locally, then it works OK. But if I open it from the website, then I get
this error.
Is this a known issue and is there a solution? This is an awesome
library.
