Glad you're finding Exhibit useful!

The bad news is: both of your problems cannot be solved in v1, nor in v2 
at the moment. Good news: I do plan to make v2 a lot more expressive 
than v1, and so I'm quite sure when it's released, v2 will let you do 
what you want.

In your problem 2, the timeline still thinks it's plotting projects (not 
milestones). So if you click on any bar in the timeline, the lens that 
shows up renders the project, not the milestone. So all the expressions 
are relative to the projects.
