Exhibit aims to be "easy" like html, and with respect to the complexity
of its language I think it succeeds. However, as we see from these
kinds of questions and answers, it fails with respect to its error
modes. It would be great to invest some effort in making exhibit more
"fail soft", the way html is with things like unbalanced tags. For
example, in this case, if a div calls for an exhibit that is _empty_, it
seems to me that the right fail-soft behavior would be to make an
exhibit of all items.
