Hi all,

I really love timeline and would like to use it for a project involving
the visual display of a kind of log book. On average, this involves some
24 events per day, but there are 21 days on which more than 50 events
happened, with an upper limit of 336 events on a single day... As my
timeline involves several bands, I'd rather not try and err to find the
optimal height of the timeline div in different browsers, since the
sheer height of this massive band would render it next to useless from a
user point of view.

So far, I've been trying to implement vertical scrollbars to deal with
overflowing content. Creating an intermediate div level between the div
with class "timeline-default timeline-container" and the one with class
"timeline-band timeline-band-n" seems to promise useful results, if I
can figure out how to transpose the latter's top and height
characteristics to the new, containing div (suggestion where to look,
anyone?). For this intermediate div, overflow settings can then handle
the vertical overflow of 'long' days.

However, I noticed another problem. With the recent (08/14/2007) commit
in the code introducing the lay-out of events are against a "spine" in
the middle of the band, I noticed that some labels are cut off *above*
the band's visual space, without any means to scroll up to these labels.
Perhaps a screenshot can clarify the problem:

What can I do to avoid the problem that event labels drop off the upper
limits of a band? Any comments in general on dealing with dense
timelines, or on my specific approach (I'd be much helped if I knew
where the generated divs get their @style characteristics) are much
appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
