I'm guessing that you're using the code from trunk, which is 2.0 beta. In that code I'm experimenting with rendering the event title outside the event tapes. There is a reason for that: for an event the title and the tape can have the same color. If the title were rendered inside the tape, using the same color would make the title impossible to read.
