David, Could you please indicate what version of the Timeline API you are using for the example here http://simile.mit.edu/timeline/examples/religions/christianity.html As mentioned I am running code from Timeline TRUNK and am unable to reproduce what you what I see on your site when running the same example.
As mentioned I am desperately trying to get the labels to appear inside the bands as seen in the above example as well as getting the overview painter working properly so that the bands (timelines) are synced up properly in both ethers which is not the case with the code in Trunk but does seem to be the case with the example above when I view it from your site.
