Actually there would seem to be a bug higher up. If selecting a (birth date) facet valet would yield zero items, then that facet value generally shouldn't show up at all. The numbers by the facet values are supposed to represent the number of items that would appear if you selected that value; clearly if you have narrowed to six items through the architecture subject, there cannot be 54 items matching the birthdate 1900-2000 value as is currently indicated by the ui.
