I'm just a freshman in the harsh XML - Java world but my preference would go to the following option :
+ Optimize for #1
+ e.g. classpath = xerces.jar xalan.jar (current packaging)
where DOM L2 and SAX 2.0 is only in xerces.jar
+ e.g. classpath = xerces.jar xalan.jar (current packaging)
where DOM L2 and SAX 2.0 is only in xerces.jar
Because, I don't really think it is necessary that xalan.jar contains DOM and SAX classes.
But it's only my opinion.
