Hello out there,

before i start: it's really late now, and i will be very short in what i
write. but i have to do it now ;-)
this one sentence i quoted above reminded me of a program i`ve written
some years ago. over four years, to be exact: i was a little kid in
school, and school was boring. i tried to write a genealogy app for linux,
but my programming skills weren't good enough (as my english nowadays is).
so i've only got to work a "parser" to read a gedcom-file into
c++-objects. a year later (subdir v2 in the archive) i tried to put the
data into a sql-database (adabas), which - as far as i can remember -
succeeded. don't ask me what v3 is doing: perhaps next week i can take a
closer look.
to get it in short: i've uploaded my program (it's really bad code
sometimes, i suppose) to
http://userpage.fu-berlin.de/~krax/stammbaum.tar.gz and you can download
an take a look at it. yes, there are no comments. and some of
the funtions have german names. sorry for that.
basically, you may use any portion of the code. i just want to know if.
what i will do: if there is any interest, i will put my code under the
gpl (and on a ftp server).
and now i'm going to bed.
greetings,
michael
