Hi Jeremy,

Welcome aboard! We can always use the help. To give you a 'heads up'
on what's gone on so far, there are a couple of things to check out:

        1. Check the mailing list archive.
                http://www.geocrawler.com/archives/3/2740/2000/
            or http://www.mail-archive.com/genes-devel%40lists.sourceforge.net/
        2. Download the source so far in CVS
                Repository is at http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=4216
        3. Review the proposed database schema and ERDs
                http://genes.sourceforge.net/dbschema.html
More info in the mailing list archive and in the news section
of the project page at sourceforge.

I'm currently working on integrating a donated GEDCOM parser, and Geert
is working on putting together a GUI for the prog (some preliminary
screenshots at http://www.sesuadra.org/~gvtienen/genes/). The next part
that we really need worked on is our interface to the program's internal
database.

So, if you find a part that you'd like to help out on, let the list (and
me) know. To get write access to the CVS tree you'll need a developer
login at SourceForge (it's free) and then tell me what your login is and
I'll add you as a project developer.
