Hi!
Glad for the help. I don't have a snapshot right now because there is so
little code ready for use. The GenDate class is probably the closest
thing that we've got right now (I'll forward a tarball as soon as I can).
I think that the biggest reason that there hasn't been as much work done
as I would like is a lack of time.
However, we are (very slowly) making progress. Geert has some proposed
screenshots made with Glade that are pretty good, although I can't find
the address right now (check the mailing list archive). I've put up a
proposed db schema, but haven't gotten too far beyond that.
Right now, Geert is working on improving the UI that's been proposed, and
I've been working on integrating a GEDCOM parser. [For everyone else as
well...] I've been reading up lately on design patterns for work, and
I've found an article that will probably form the basis of our database
access layer at http://www.objectarchitects.de/arcus/cookbook/relzs. In
reading this over again today, it hit me that this type of design would
work for both our database and GEDCOM access (combined with the parser
mentioned above). Over the next few weeks (I hope) I'll try to put
together a prototype access layer based on these patterns.
