Ugh, how horrible. As I see it, this is extra code that was *removed* in
the transition from 4.3 to 4.4. It should be possible for it to fixed in
genesis, but don't hold your breath.
Why on earth does the network need to use both 192.168.1.x and
192.168.3.x?
If you can't persuade your network admin to move everything to 192.168.1.x
(or to the class B private allocation), then you could try Miami, which
apparently is based on BSD 4.4
