Gidday, 

Since I have been using  a Microcom modem it persistently falls of-line
randomly. I've written that off as being because of bad phone line, or more
likely a junky crap modem.

However, Genesis does not know it has happened, and continues to show a
connection. If I put Genesis off-line as soon as it happens, I can then
reconnect, but if I don't notice it, and it has been like that for a while,
Genesis will not change its status. 

What can I do to make Genesis more aware of what the state of the connection
is?
