I'm not the admin either, but, this is why the bigBed format was created:

http://genome.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/help/bigBed.html

I use it for anything over 50MB...  Otherwise you waste too much time waiting 
for things to load.

Splitting your BED files by chromosome is probably necessary with large 
datasets:

Also, are you gzipping your bed files? Perhaps that might help as well.
