Hello,

We agree with the advice given by the other users. Create smaller files,
consider using bigBED, or perhaps both.

One addition to include is the suggestion to use the Sessions feature to help
manage the data tracks (they stay on the server longer if in a Session). But
remember to keep local copies!

Good luck and let us know if you continue to have problems after trying out
some of these work arounds. Even at UCSC, locally, we break files up into
smaller chunks for upload (and other reasons, display speed, etc). We are
assuming that you are using the public browser. If you are using a local
install, then it might be worth talking to your local system admin to see if
there are any connection issues/time-outs, just to eliminate that as an issue.
Even locally, the file will need to be made into smaller sub-files if bigBed
does not work.

Thanks,
Jennifer
