Hello Crystal,

The older .wig format is no longer recommended. Instead, use bigWig. 
These files would live on your server so there should be no issues with 
size/number that we are aware of. If you do have problems, please let us 
know.

A file conversion utility wigToBigWig is in the kent source tree or 
available pre-compiled for some systems (obtain via ftp).
