UCSC will be doing electrical upgrade work on Saturday 20 Dec. that will result in our Genome Browser, downloads server, blat servers, and public MySql server being offline from 3:30 am to 8:30 am PST. Our mirror sites will be available during this interval, although they do not provide access to certain UCSC-hosted datasets (such as blat and VisiGene images).
The UCSC campus will also be undergoing electrical work from 8:00 am PST Saturday 27 Dec. through 6:00 pm PST Monday 29 Dec. Although the work that is currently planned should not impact access to the Genome Browser, there is a slight possibility that you may lose short-term online access to our tools during this period. Also, the Genome Browser mailing lists ([email protected] and [email protected]) will be down during this time period. Emails sent to the lists will be queued and will be posted when the lists come back online. (Note that 24 Dec. through 1 Jan. is a campus holiday, and therefore some questions posted to our list may not receive a response until after 1 Jan.)
