Hello Anne, We will update the human genome browser when NCBI releases an update to the human assembly. We hope this will be in February of 2009, but there is no guarantee of that date.
Once we do receive the assembly, we will expedite the release of a basic genome browser on http://genome.ucsc.edu, although it will probably be several weeks from the time we get it before it is available.
