Hello João Fadista,

You will need the 2bit files (or sequence in some format) for the
assemblies you are converting to/from and you will also need to download
and run our liftOver utility. You can find the stand-alone liftOver
utility here:

http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/admin/exe/

For additional help in obtaining and installing it please consult this
previously answered mailing list question:

http://www.soe.ucsc.edu/pipermail/genome/2008-August/016898.html

You can find specific instructions on using our liftOver utility to
perform lifts between assemblies that we do not have here:

http://genomewiki.cse.ucsc.edu/index.php/Minimal_Steps_For_LiftOver

This is a stripped down version of the complete instructions for the
liftOver tool found here:

/kent/src/hg/doc/liftOver.txt

Hopefully this information was helpful and answers your question. If you
have further questions or require clarification feel free to contact the
mailing list at [email protected].

Best regards,

Pauline Fujita
