What do you mean, add your own data ?  Custom tracks via hgCustom,
or permanent local tracks ?

To enable custom tracks in your local browser:
        http://genomewiki.ucsc.edu/index.php/Using_custom_track_database
then follow the guide for custom track submission to the browser:
        http://genome.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/help/customTrack.html

If you want to add permanent local tracks, start with the
document in the source tree:  src/product/README.trackDb
which leads to other README files in the source tree.
