Dear Stefanie,

The UCSC Genes track was last updated on 2009-10-08 for hg19. It appears that
NP_003088 was last updated on 21-MAR-2010
(http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/29540555?report=GenBank) which is after
the UCSC Genes track was last updated. This would explain why this particular
splice variant isn't in the kgSpAlias.txt.

Hope that this helps. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to
contact the mailing list again.

Subject: [Genome] missing gene

Hi,
I noticed that sometimes some genes found on NCBI are missing on the UCSC gene
list.
For example I noticed that the splice form of gene SNRPN
NM_003097.3, NP_003088 is not part of the UCSC gene list in the kgSpAlias.txt.
Is there a particular reason for some missing genes or is this a mistake?
Thanks a lot for your help,
Stefanie
