Dear Mike,

In the table browser you will need to set the appropriate clade, genome,
assembly.

Set the following:
group: Genes and Gene Prediction Tracks
track: UCSC Genes
table: KnownGene
region: position

click on "define regions" and follow the instructions.

click on "submit"

output format: selected fields from primary and related tables
output file: fileName (if you want to save the output to your computer)

click on "get output"

click on "name" and any other table fields that might interest you.

click on "get output"

If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact the mailing
list again.

Subject: [Genome] Table Browser

If I have certain positions (Chr Start End) is it possible to enter a long list
of positions and have the table browser output the name of the genes these
positions are located in? Thanks for the help, I appreciate it!

Mike
