Hi Li, As is stated in the text before the list of files, mrna.fa.gz contains human mRNAs from GenBank, while refMrna.fa.gz contains RefSeq mRNA from the same species as the genome. Both are updated once a week via automatic updates. More information on the difference between RefSeq and GenBank can be found here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/RefSeq/RSfaq.html.
