Greetings, I need to choose restriction enzymes to digest my genomic (mouse) DNA such that I can determine in a Southern blot the difference between a genomic gene and a gene that has been inserted via lentiviral transduction. In order to do this I need to know:
1. Size of the fragment containing the genomic gene after cutting with the enzyme(s). 2. If I can find an enzyme that cuts in an intron region of the genomic gene and what the size of those fragments would then be. If anyone knows of anything else I need to look for and how to do it with this browser (for these types of Southerns), that would be great. I know this is probably a very basic question, however, I am a new user of this browser, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you all in advance!
