Subject: [Genome] Funky bug

A colleague came up with the following deadly typo when using the UCSC Genome
Browser:

chr:1-1111111

This provokes a 22.5 MB disambiguation response from the browser, starting with:

"SwitchGear Genomics Transcription Start Sites
CHR1_P0001_R1 at chr1:10465-10465
CHR1_P0001_R2 at chr1:11874-11874"
...

and ending in:

"mySQL error 1153: Got a packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet' bytess"

Warning: this response (presumably its size) kills the latest Safari on Mac
(latest Firefox on Mac survives).

Regards,
Kevin Murphy
