Good Morning Idit:

Perhaps your home made script has an error.

You can extract sequence directly from the hg18.2bit file
with the twoBitToFa program in the kent source tree.
You do not need to create nib files from the 2bit file.
Use the 2bit file directly and the kent programs to
extract sequence from them.

Subject: [Genome] hg18 nib files

Hello,
I'm running a home made script on hg18 nib files extracted from
hg18.2bit. For a small number of entries, no sequence is found.

When I search for the exact same coordinates on the web genome
browser, I'm able to find the position and download the sequence.
Any idea how to solve this issue? my hg18.2bit is the updated version
available on your website.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Idit
