Hi Irwin,

Thank you for the compliments on the Genome Browser.

There is a "GWAS Catalog" track in the Phenotype group, which comes from
NHGRI (http://www.genome.gov/gwastudies/). There is not an entry for
rs17270803, however. Since it is manually curated, it is relatively
sparse (hg19 has ~6000 reports for ~4500 SNPs, from >750 publications),
but they are steadily working on it, so their database has been growing
over time, and we update our track every couple months or so.

The GWAS Catalog page lists some basic criteria for selecting
publications to include in the catalog, and has links to more details
about their methods. It doesn't list a contact for requesting particular
publications to be reviewed, but you could try contacting the GWAS
Catalog authors directly.

Thank you for letting us know what is useful to you. If you have
further questions, please feel free to contact us again at
[email protected].

suggestion. It would be useful to have a track where the most associated
SNPs coming from GWAS projects on different common diseases are flagged.

interesting GWAS data in relation to skin disease. This is near a gene
encoding a kinase that has been implicated in cancer and so I was
wondering if that or nearby SNPs have come up in any cancer GWAS or GWAS
for other diseases.
