Dear Mr/Mrs,
I can find turkey (Meleagris gallopavo ) genome annotation file from
ensembl browser in gtf format but i need an annotation file in UCSC format. I
tried to find turkey genome annotation file in UCSC format from UCSC browser
which is not present there. I can find chicken genome annotation file in UCSC
format from the UCSC genome bioinformatics browser which you can see from the
following site.
ftp://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/galGal3/database/ensGene.txt.gz
I need a same kind of annotation file for the turkey genome. Can you please
tell me how can I find such a format file. If you have time can you please make
such a file for me or tell me the way how can I prepare UCSC format annotation
file for the turkey genome.
If it is not possible to provide the turkey genome annotation file in UCSC
format, could you then please provide me the description of each column within
the UCSC file format. I can't find the specific column information on the UCSC
website, and it might help me to properly transform the GTF file to UCSC format
I shall be really thankful for your help and guidance.
