Dear Colleagues,

My collaborators and I have just submitted a manuscript to PLoS ONE, titled
"Transcriptome-wide survey of mouse CNS-derived cells reveals monoallelic
expression within novel gene families." It includes results of Illumina
sequencing and cSNP analysis of 4 clonal neural stem cell lines. The cell
lines are derived from F1 hybrid mice resulting from the cross of C57BL/6 X JF1
(Mus musculus molossinus JF1). The cell lines are described in a previous PLoS
ONE article (Wang et al, 2007). We are in the process of uploading the JF1
cSNP library to dbSNP at NCBI.

The first author on the manuscript, Sierra M. Li, is generating a bed file that
includes allele-specific expression at each cSNP analyzable in each of the 4
cell lines. We would like to upload this to the UCSC genome browser as a
public custom track. The track should be generally useful, since it contains
information on allele-specific expression of ~7000 genes.

Please let us know how best to proceed. We would also appreciate it if you
could let us know what the procedure is for confirmation of the process by
UCSC, since we understand that PLoS ONE may request proof that the upload is in
progress prior to acceptance of our manuscript.

Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,

Judy Sam
