Hi Felix, The missing track control is a bug in our most recent software release. It will be fixed with the next release, scheduled for the 21st of this month. In the meantime, you can view track hubs on our preview machine if you like: http://genome-preview.ucsc.edu/ (be aware that there is a lot of untested and experimental work on the preview machine).
